PLEIN-AIR PAINTINGS

These painted sketches are all done en plein air at locations within 5km of Jolyon Hinton's Miyazawa studio. The sketches were made throughout all four seasons of the year. Many of them show Tatashina-yama, the volcano also known as Suwa-yama, which is at one end of the Yatsu-gatake group.  The map locations can found in the Places page, where photographs of the views can be compared with the sketches.

これらの絵のスケッチはすべて、ジョリオン・ヒントンの宮沢スタジオから5km以内の場所で野外で描かれました。これらのスケッチは1年の四季を通じて制作されました。それらの中には多くのスケッチが、八ヶ岳群の一端に位置する火山、田田篠山（諏訪山とも呼ばれる）を描いています。これらのスケッチの地図の場所は、"Places"ページに記載されており、そこで景色の写真と比較することができます。
